I'm really liking the basic premise behind this social networking service, called Foursquare. It lets you alert your contacts (who you've allowed to follow you) to where you are in the city - perfect for those Wednesdays when you've left work in a hurry, desperately need a drink and want to let whoever is in the area know which dive you're hitting so they can join you It might be a restaurant for a quick bite, or an exhibition you've just got word of.
It's cheaper than a multiple text, much faster than calling and has the potential to create a spontaneous evening from a simple action (and we all know the spontaneous evenings often turn out to best ones...). So an online action stimulate a real-world, face to face action. Markus like this.
