Adidas Originals - social thinking

Adidas Orginals. Doing it right. I'm feeling this campaign on a number of levels, but most importantly for the purpose of this post, the full integration of social plaform, Facebook, as a fundemental part of the marketing campaign strategy.

Not a late add-on because some guy from creative team read '... something about posting video on youtube and linking with facebook!" Nope, this is great strategic thinking from a strong team of planners and content developers.

Months after the TVC went bang, Adidas continue to feed its Facebook fans (a mill +) with new video clips, photographs and competition giveaways, keeping them interested and giving them stuff they can share with their friends. The basics done well.

Frankie Valley and the Four Seasons bringing the party even (the kids don't have a clue they're from the 70's until Mum pipes up, but the kids are all like 'whatever') and bam - party in kitchen.

Standing in Silence - Rhian Sheehan

Rhian Sheehan's new work, Standing in Silence, is a aural treat worth setting aside a couple of hours to absorb one lazy weekend afternoon. Combining here with film maker Gareth Moon (Nektar) on the streets of downtown Tokyo, in part 4.

Shapeshifter Summer Tour 2009 doco

A documentary on Shapeshifter's summer tour through the North Island of New Zealand from 2009. The tour featured brand new music from Shapeshifter, much of which will feature on their forthcoming album, due out in September. Documentary produced by my good friends and creative partners at Nektar Films. You can check out more of their work on their Youtube channel (see the link under 'cool shit'). Enjoy

A tribute to the greatest musical performer of the last 30 years

Thanks for your art Mr Jackson. Oh, and thanks for the dance moves - a couple have stayed with me (though my ability to execute them remains variable at best). Rest in peace...
